The Barefoot Travel Group was founded by Rosie and Derek Palframan in 2006 after more than 20 years in senior travel roles across South Africa. They saw room for a niche operator that did not try to sell every destination on the planet.

That specialist recipe became Bushscapes: a focused team for Southern African game lodges, with recommendations shaped by lodge detail, destination knowledge, and the kind of honest matching that saves you hours of second guessing.
